Some aerial views of the city of Angra [do Heroísmo] mostly comprising the principal religious buildings built or that were rebuilt from the sixteenth to late-eighteenth century.

The College of the Jesuits built in the seventeenth century, such as the church of the Convent of São Francisco, the eighteenth-century Church of Misericórdia and the sixteenth-century (rebuilt in the end of the seventeenth century and in the eighteenth century) hermitage of Nossa Senhora dos Remédios, part of the the Canto family palace. The fortress of São Filipe, after the 1640 Restauração renamed of São João Baptista and its church. Finally, the Cathedral which dates from the last decades of the sixteenth and first decades of the seventeenth century.
